Wireless Internet Access

The Information Technology department at SCC has implemented wireless connectivity on campus. In order to use this service, computers need to be current on virus protection and operating system updates.

There are two networks:

  1. “SCCPublic” is for basic connection to the Internet only and requires the user to accept the MCCCD Acceptable Use Policy.
  2. “MyWiFi@SCC” is the new encrypted wireless network which should be used by employees and students requiring access to the campus computing resources such as printing, H: drives and Group drives. Documentation is attached for most types of devices, including Windows, Android, and Apple products. To access the network, use MEID@MCCCD.ORG and password.

The MyWiFi@SCC Connection Guide contains detailed instructions for configuring a new connection to MyWiFi@SCC when using the following devices:

  • Android
  • Apple iOS iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch
  • Chromebook
  • Mac OSX
  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8
  • Windows 10

If you are using an SCC Laptop, use the MyWiFi@SCC - SCC Laptops instruction guide. If you are using an SCC Chromebook, use the MyWiFi@SCC - SCC Chromebooks instruction guide.
