Scientific Name: Zonotrichia leucophrys
Residency: Winters throughout Arizona.
Diet: Insects and seeds.
Predators: Sharp-shinned Hawks, American Kestrels, Scrub-Jays, and Crows.
Nesting: The cup-shaped nest is made out of fine grasses and is placed on or near the ground. Three to five pale bluish, dark-spotted eggs are laid.
Nesting Records:
Notes: The White-crowned Sparrow may be declining in some areas of the western United States.
