Scientific Name: Urosaurus ornatus treelizardCB080106aa
Temporal Activity: Diurnal
Diet: A wide variety of insects and spiders.
Predators:  Preyed upon by hawks, owls, coyotes, ringtails, and skunks.
Breeding: Mating occurs in spring and summer.  Eggs are laid in late spring and summer; up to six clutches of two to thirteen eggs can be laid.
Vegetation Association: Most common in mesquite, alder, and cottonwood communities, but can be found in the majority of Arizona?s biotic communities.
Notes: This lizard is often seen in urban areas doing ?pushups? and extending its brightly colored throat (a territorial display) on fences and walls.
