Diet: Adults feed on moths, cicadas, butterflies, wasps, bees, dragonflies, grasshoppers, other flies, some spiders, and other insects.
Vegetation Association:  Found in riparian areas
Predators

Life Stages:  Complete Metamorphosis; egg, larvae, pupae, adult.

Notes:  They are gray to black in color, hairy, and have a long abdomen.
