Scientific Name: Fouquieria splendens ?Native to the Sonoran Desert. ?Important food source for migrant hummingbirds. ?Also pollinated by nectar thieves such as carpenter bees and verdins. ?Produces flowers year round depending on availability of water. ?Cut branches can be used to make a living fence. ?Flowers can be soaked in water to make a beverage.
