Scientific Name: Agosia chrysogaster
Residency: Native to the lower Colorado River drainage in Arizona has been introduced into other parts of Arizona and the Rio Grande Basin of New Mexico.
Habitat: Longfin Dace are able to occupy a wide variety of small stream habitats.
Diet: Aquatic invertebrates and detritus.
Breeding: Eggs are laid in a small depression, spawning occurs mostly in spring but can possibly occur throughout the year.
Status: Not listed as an endangered species but the USFWS considers it a species of concern.
