Least Tern
Sterna antillarum
Residency:  Summers in South-west corner of the state.
Diet:  Small fish.
Predators:  Common Raven American Kestrel, Great Horned Owl, Coyote, and Boat-tailed Grackle.
Nesting:  A shallow scrape in the sand.  Eggs are 2 per clutch, olive with darker marks, 1 brood per year.
Nesting Records:
Notes:  Will make alarm calls, attack and fly at intruders.
