Scientific Name: Calidris minutillaleastsandpiperRP021707

Residency: Winters throughout Arizona except for the northeast.

Diet: East insects, mollusks, crustaceans and marine worms.

Predators: Prairie Falcon, Long-eared Owl, Northern Harrier, and American Kestrels.

Nesting: A shallow depression on bog or upland. Eggs: 4 per brood, pinkish buff with dark marks, 1 brood per year.

Nesting Records:

Notes: Feeds in muddy, grassy areas.
