Groove-billed Ani
Crotophaga sulcirostris
Residency:  Winters spent in South and central part of the state.
Diet:  Eats insects, spiders, small fruits, berries and small lizards.
Predators:  Roadside Hawk and Vampyrum, a carnivorous bat
Nesting:  Nest is large, bulky, and bowl-shaped, made of weeds, twigs and palm leaves. They are hidden in trees or bushes.  Eggs are turquoise blue.

Notes:  Very social, they forage and roost with a social group.
