Diet: Insects which it hunts at night. Vegetation Association: Found in boulder fields and granite crevices, under rocks, in saguaros, and in dwellings. Predators: As a defense against predators their coloring matches perfectly with the granite stones in their habitats.
Life Stages: Incomplete metamorphosis; egg, nymph, adult.
Notes: Also called huntsman. It is named after its sideways mobility which is like a crab.
