Scientific Name:  Eriogonum inflatum
?Perennial shrub
?Gall wasps feed on desert trumpets and lay their eggs inside the plant.
?Stems of this plant are swollen due to high concentrations of carbon dioxide.
?Stalks have been used by Native Americans as pipes for smoking Indian tobacco and mistletoe
?Found on mesas, dry sand or gravel.
?Also called Bladder Stem or Indian Pipe Weed
?Grows to 3 ft. in height
