Scientific Name: Celtis pallida ? Evergreen shrub native to the Sonoran Desert ? Many birds and small mammals feed on the berries; deer and jackrabbits eat the leaves. ? This is a good place for ground dwelling animals and birds to nest. ? Migrating warblers can be found here. ? In August the orange berries ripen. ? Grows from 3-10 ft. tall. ? Has medium green leaves that are intricately branched.
