Scientific Name: Baccharis sarothroides ?Perennial native to the Sonoran Desert ?Blooms in the fall; seeds are dispersed by wind. ?Flowers attract butterflies and insects. ?A pioneer plant that colonizes disturbed soils. ?Usually grows from 3-6 ft. tall; can be up to 10ft. tall. ?American Indians use plant ends as brooms and also chew stems to ease toothaches.
