Scientific Name: Icterus bullockii
Residency: Summers throughout the state of Arizona. Spend the year and winter in the southeastern corner of the state.
Diet: Eats insects, fruit, and flower nectar.
Predators: Cooper’s Hawk, American Crow, Gopher Snake, and Western Scrub-Jay.
Nesting: Hanging nest of plant fibers, suspended from branch 6-60 ft. high. Eggs: 4-6 per brood, pale bluish white with dark marks, one brood per year.
