Scientific Name:  Genus Orobanche
?Parasitic herbaceous plant.
?Has no chlorophyll and depends totally on other plants for food.
?Seeds stay dormant in the soil until the compounds found in living roots stimulate their growth.
?Seedlings attach to the roots of host plants and feed off of them.
?Flowers are snapdragon-like.
?This plant threatens tomato, eggplant, potato, cabbage, coleus, bell pepper, sunflower, celery and beans.
