Scientific Name: Riparia riparia
Residency: During summertime resides in northeast corner of Arizona.
Diet: Eats a variety of insects.
Predators: American Kestrel, other birds, mammals, and snakes.
Nesting: Colonial, platform of straw, rootlets, plant stalks or leaves, placed in a tunnel along burrow in bank. Lays 1-9 white eggs per clutch (1-2 broods per year).

Notes: After breeding they may form large flocks that feed and roost together.
