Scientific Name: Peniocereus greggii

? Native, perennial

? Grows under creosotes, ironwood trees and other desert shrubs for support

? Flower is cross pollinated by hawk moths

? Blooms May-July, large white flowers are open for one night only

? Grows from a tube root, which has been used to treat diabetes
