Overview
Applications Design & Development is all about solving business problems. Application Designers & Developers plan, design, program, test, and debug complex business software applications.
We offer several Programs of Study in Applications Design & Development including: Computer Information Systems, Database Development, Software Development, Web Design, and Web Development. Each program focuses on a particular concentration within the field of Applications Design and Development and each program leads to the CIS Certificate of Completion and the CIS AAS Degree.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Computer Systems Design and Related Industry category is expected to be one of the top ten fastest growing industries over the next ten years.
CIS@SCC graduates who specialize in Applications Design & Development will find career opportunities in almost every industry including business, education, nonprofit organizations, and government. Career titles for these graduates include: programmer/analyst, systems analyst, web designer, web developer, database designer, database administrator, software developer, software quality assurance personnel, systems integrator, and business analyst to name a few.
