Our Veterans Services office is dedicated to helping veterans achieve their educational goals and dreams. Our success was recognized last year when we were named a “Veteran Supportive Campus” by the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services, the first Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) school to receive that designation.

The Scottsdale Community College Disability Resources and Services (DRS) Office provides accommodations and services to students with disabilities to ensure they have equal access to all SCC programs, services, and activities. Our office strives to empower students, foster independence, and promote achievement of realistic career and educational goals. The DRS Office, along with the campus community, will assist students to discover, develop, and demonstrate their full potential and abilities.
What is the difference between advising and counseling at SCC?
Advisors are faculty members or staff persons who have been trained to assist students with academic information. Counselors are service faculty members trained in counseling to work with students individually and in groups. Counselors assist students with educational-occupational and personal-social decision making skills. Counselors also work with faculty and staff as consultants and trainers.
