Recommended Sequence for Interior Design Majors
The following sequence of courses is intended to give students the recommended order in which courses should be taken. Fall/spring schedules are designed with course sequencing in mind.
Due to the demand for our classes, this recommended sequencing is strongly encouraged. Please check with Program Advisor, Gera King, early in your program for a personalized schedule if you are going part-time.
The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Interior Design: Professional Level offers specialized knowledge within the interiors industry.
The AAS in Interior Design equips students with a background in the conceptual, technical and historical aspects of interior design. Students study basic design, color, history of architecture and furniture, interior materials, hand and computer drafting, space planning, and presentation techniques. Studio projects allow students to identify, research, and solve design issues.
Thank you for expressing interest in the Interior Design Program at Scottsdale Community College. We are located in the heart of the Scottsdale Interior Design Industry. We enjoy a warm working relationship with interior studios, architectural studios, manufacturers, and distributors.
