Honors Projects/Contracts Requirements
In all Honors option credit courses a TYPED contract specifying the project, its due dates, and its grading criteria must be completed and signed by both the faculty member and the Honors student. The original contract is turned in to the Honors Program Coordinator by January 31, 2014 for (Spring 2014). Incomplete or unclear contracts will be returned to the student for revisions and are due back within 72 hours. Failure to turn the contract in on time will result in removal from the Honors Program and loss of scholarship money.
The Honors Program is open to all recent high school graduates, continuing students, and returning adults meeting appropriate academic requirements. Depending upon the individual situation, all Honors students receive either the Presidents' Scholarship or the Honors Achievement Scholarship.
The Scottsdale Community College Honors Program fosters critical thinking and academic excellence among students who are motivated to pursue academic enrichment. The program offers specially designated honors classes, monthly Honors Forum speakers, and various other events throughout the year.
