Prospect Questionnaire

Rand Weiskittel was named as head coach of the Scottsdale Community College women?s soccer team in the spring of 2007.

?I am thrilled to have Rand Weiskittel take charge of the women?s soccer program.  I believe he is the type of person that will take this program to the next level,? Darcel Coco, Women?s Athletic Director, said.  ?Rand clearly cares about the development of the player and knows what it takes.  Our student-athletes are truly lucky to have a coach with Rand Weiskittel?s experience, integrity, and refreshing approach.?

?I?m really excited to get this thing rolling,? Weiskittel said.  ?My challenge now is not just to create a competitive program or to further develop those players that want to play at the next level.  The real reward will be in creating an environment that allows these young women to work for and fulfill their dreams whether it is in the classroom or on the field.?

Rand Weiskittel is a native of Phoenix, Arizona.  (Brophy Class of ?88. U of A Class of ?92).  Weiskittel is active in soccer around the state of Arizona.  He is currently a trainer for ASUSC Blackhawks and holds a NSCAA National Diploma.

Lisa Spero

Lisa Spero enters her first year as an assistant coach for SCC after spending the past year as the goalkeeper coach for Chaparral High School.  Previously, Spero served as the goalkeeper coach for prestigious Notre Dame High School in Belmont, CA.

?How can you not be impressed with Lisa?  Look at her achievements.  Lisa is clearly a competitor,? head coach Weiskittel noted.  ?I think Scottsdale as well as the conference is fortunate to have another great addition to the coaching ranks.  I believe there are some great coaches in our conference and I believe Lisa will be one of them.?

Spero is an Arizona native.  She achieved All-American honors in 2001 while playing for Huron University.  In addition, Spero was named 1st team All-State while playing for Chaparral High School where she won a state championship.  Lisa also played goalkeeper for her club team, which won 7 straight Arizona state championships before Lisa moved on to play in college.
