SCC Sweeps Through Season Opener

The Scottsdale Volleyball team secured a decisive win in their conference opener against South Mountain Friday night, winning in straight games with scores of 30-16, 30-23 and 30-18. Sophmore, Heather Baron was named ?Player of the Game? by Head Coach Regina Mannix for her outstanding contribution to the team?s win. Baron hit over .500 in her efforts to secure the win for her team. She had 15 kills in 28 attempts with 1 error. Outstanding defensive work was exhibited by sophomores, Unique Jackson with 6 blocks and Lindsey Goodman with 21 digs.

The Lady Artichokes will face off with Division I, Yavapai at home on Wednesday, August 31st. at 7:00 pm.
