MEN'S GOLF COMPLETES FALL PREVIEW TOURNAMENT IN NEW MEXICO: The Artichoke golfers played their first holes of competition this season at the recent NJCAA Preview Tournament September 25-27th held at the 2006 National Championship site, the Links of Sierra Blanca in Ruidoso, NM. Placing fifth among the country's best programs, the 'Chokes shot a three round total of 14 under-par 850, 18 shots behind winner Midland College. Second year player Yu Katayama led the way for the Artichokes with a sixth place finish individually, shooting a seven under-par 209. Please click HERE for full results.
SCC MEN'S GOLF HOST FUNDRAISER: Help support Artichoke golfers by playing in our annual fundraising golf tournament on Saturday, November 12, at the Camelback Golf Club. Dinner, awards, and a silent auction will follow at nearby Sandbar Grill. ARTICHOKES PLACE 5TH AT NJCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS: Scottsdale completed the 2005 season with a fifth place finish at the NJCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship. SCC's final round of 287 was the squad's best round of the tournament and the fourth best round of the final day. SCC 5TH ENTERING FINAL ROUND AT NJCAA DI CHAMPIONSHIP: The Artichokes have steadily improved eac round and stand in third place entering Friday's final round at the NJCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships. SCC shot 324 in the opening round, 299 in round two and 289 in round three. Steve Warren is currently tied for 10th place after firing consecutive rounds of 71 and his 223 total is five shots off of a trio of leaders. | more |

SCC CAPTURES 27TH ACCAC CHAMPIONSHIP: Led by ACCAC Player of the Year Josh Wilks, Scottsdale Community College's men's golf team won the program's 27th consecutive Conference Championship by an incredible 17 strokes. | more |
ARTICHOKES PULL AWAY TO WIN PVCC INVITE: After carding a team 297 and holding a first place tie with South Mountain after 18 holes, Scottsdale captured the team title in the Paradise Valley Invitational with a second round 296. Scottsdale's 593 total gave it am eight-stroke victory over South Mountain and outdistanced third place Pima by 21 strokes.Steve Warren led Scottsdale with a third place finish (74-74--148). | more |
