Scottsdale Scores Comeback Victory
Over South Mountain

Scottsdale struggled early and had to come from behind in the second half for a 79-69 ACCAC victory over South Mountain.

Playing without starting point Danny Soliman, Scottsdale came out og the gates slow in the first half.  While the Artichokes had problems finding the basket, South Mountain found life on the opposite end of the court much better.  The Cougars held the advantage for most of the opening 20 minutes and grabbed a 40-33 halftime lead.

Scottsdale came out a bit more ready to play in the second half, taking the lead with about 13 minutes to play and never relinquishing it.  The Artichokes burned the nets for a 59.0 shooting percentage in the second half while the SCC defense held South Mountain to just a 26 percent success rate from the floor in the second half.

For the game, Scottsdale outrebounded the Cougars 48-34 and out shot them from 3-point range 7-of-12 to 6of-22.

     Justin Ashbaugh -- 18 points, 18 rebounds
