Scottsdale Runs Past NMMI 31-13

Behind the running of sophomore Kevrick Brown who alternated between quarterback and running back the Artichokes marched to a convincing 31 to 13 victory over the home team New Mexico Military Broncos. The Chokes owned the ground game as they pounded out 228 yards with Brown rushing for 128 in 19 attempts. The passing attack gained 122 yards with Warren Johnson gaining 51 yards and scoring a touchdown. The Artichokes gained a total of 350 total yards on offense compared to New Mexico Military?s 183 total yards.

Sophomore Cody Bruns (Moon Valley High School) was the offensive spark scoring two touchdowns on runs of 10 yards and 9 yards while grabbing 5 passes for 44 yards.Tony Sims finished up the scoring with a 16 yard run.

The Artichokes move to 5-3 and face the Number One team in the Junior College Football the Snow College Badgers as the come to Scottsdale 7-0.
