Dave Critchley

Head Coach

Coach Dave Critchley is entering his second year as Men's Head Coach, third year as Women's Assistant Coach.  In his short tenure at SCC he has elevated the status of the tennis program, earning both ACCAC Conference Championships and NJCAA Region I Championships for both the men and women teams in his first full year. Both the men's and women's teams produced perfect conference records, 10-0 and 12-0 respectively. He lead his men's team to a 12th place finish in the NJCAA National Championships.  He was awarded ACCAC Men's Coach of the Year in his inaugural season. Dave is a USPTA Certified P1 tennis professional as well as a USA/USTA certified High Performance Coach.  He is the founder and director of The Players Academy, an elite tennis academy for highly ranked juniors.
Dave played college tennis for ASU.  In his senior year he played #1 doubles with Sargis Sargisian and #3 singles.  Prior to attending ASU he played #1 singles and doubles for West Virginia University, earning All-Conference honors.  He played professionally on the ATP tour for three years maintaining and ATP world ranking in both singles and doubles.
