Winning Pitcher  --  Brett Torrey (1-0)

Brett Torrey, T.J. Macy, and Kyle VanDusen combined to throw a no-hitter for Scottsdale on Saturday afternoon in the back end of an NJCAA double header.  The 5-0 victory gave the Artichokes a 3-1 lead in the four-game season opening series.

The three Scottsdale hurlers combined to strike out 10 Spartans and did not give up a walk.  Robert Craig continued his torrid pace at the plate going 3-for-3 with a triple.  Bryce Lefebvre opened the scoring for Scottsdale with a towering homerun that cleared the scoreboard in left-center field.

The Artichokes will travel to El Paso this weekend to take on El Paso Community College in a four game set.
