Gera began her career in residential design and teaching in Kentucky before transferring to Arizona. She has earned numerous awards, such as Outstanding SCC Faculty, Woman of Distinction in Maricopa District as well as design awards through ASID; Designer of Distinction and Medalist Award from Arizona North chapter of American Society of Interior Designers. She served as chapter president in 1999 and served at the national level of ASID, including National Board of Directors, Chapter Support Team and Education and Training Advisory Board, where she served as national Professional Development Chair on the Interior Design Council of Continuing Education. She wrote a column of “Design Solutions” for Phoenix Home & Garden for two years and has been published in City AZ, Arizona Foothills, Arizona Republic. She has spoken to Phoenix Art Museum docents and to the Costume Museum docents. She has served on the NCIDQ jury for several years.

Mr. Cooper has worked for many of the valley's top Architectural firms as an interior designer. Much of his work experience was in corporate, law, medical, education, and the institutional areas. Chuck completed his commercial design career as the Director of Interior Design at the firm of Orcutt/Winslow Partnership. In addition, Chuck has experience in residential design, furniture and fashion design and construction. Chuck Cooper's office is in Applied Science Building, AP 216A.

Marcia Gonzales has worked as a resident interior designer since 1984, specializing in space planning and second homes. She has worked in Architectural Firms and Design Studios. Mrs. Gonzales has taught at SCC since 1987. Marcia Gonzales's office is in Applied Science Building, AP 216C.
