Brief animations introduce key issues as this video looks at the Bill of Rights. Civics experts explore the complexity of individual rights versus the "common good" in discussions about hate speech, school newspapers, random drug testing, gun control, and terrorism. Historical segments explain Colonial Militias, the Intolerable Acts, Freedom of Worship, the Rights of Accused Persons, and the origins of the idea of individual rights. Charred Remains : Medical Detectives, Part 2

A lengthy and convoluted police investigation links a charred female body found in a dumpster to her murderer, a male exotic dancer. An autopsy confirms the gender, indicates a dental condition called mesidens, and reveals bullet fragments in the skull; a ballistics analysis traces the bullet to the gun of the chief suspect; and blood, hair, fibers and body tissue found in the trunk of the caar match the corpse. Columbine: Understanding Why S-4 DVD
This program features the work of a threat assessment group lead by forensic psychiatrist Park Dietz. The group investigates why Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold went on a shooting spree at Columbine High School in 1999. Sniper in the Tower, A S-3 DVD
It was the worst simultaneous mass-killing in American history. For an hour and a half on August 1, 1966, 25-year-old Charles Whitman laid siege to the University of Texas at Austin, killing 14 and wounding 31 from his perch on the university tower, 231 feet above his terrified victims. Pedophiles

This program reports on child abusers who, despite repeated convictions and extensive therapy, continue their abusive behavior throughout their lives.  It also stresses the apparent evidence that there is no known effective rehabilitation and no effective way to keep pedophiles out of the neighborhood, or even out of the classroom.
