Dawn is a 30 year plus equine professional whose education and  experience encompasses a broad spectrum of horse related topics. A graduate of Michigan State University, Dawn earned a  Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and then completed two years of post graduate work.

 Dawn has worked for or managed several Arabian and Quarter Horse farms, served as a consultant, was employed by Purina Mills as a horse specialist in Arizona and Nevada and currently manages Los Cedros USA, a premier training and breeding facility in North Scottsdale.

For nine years, Dawn served on the Board of Directors for the Arabian Horse Association of Arizona and was part of the management team of the Scottsdale All Arabian Horse Show. She remains active in the horse show world as a versatile show announcer.

Dawn has been an adjunct equine science faculty member since 1992 teaching a variety of courses including Equine Evaluation, Equine Business and Law, and Equine Behavior.

Her time outside the horse show and college environment is spent at her own horse facility caring for stock and teaching basic riding and rodeo events. Her two children have completed successfully in the Junior Rodeo at the championship level.
