The Arizona Major Guide is a web-based tool that answers the key questions about your academic plan for transfer:

1. Do majors in my interest area contain an AGEC? (Not all do!)
2. Is there an associates degree that matches my intended major?
3. What courses are the best preparation for my interest area?
4. Is there a second language requirement?

These four components make up a transfer pathway.  Not all majors have a transfer pathway.  Some majors, such as Engineering, are so specific in their requirements that they do not have an Associates degree or AGEC built into them.  About 16 of ASU's 127 majors do not contain an AGEC.  You must follow the university requirements from the very beginning if there is no AGEC.   If you choose a major after you have already taken a few semesters of courses, you can work with an advisor to see which courses apply and which do not.

 With the guide you can answer these questions:

1. Which AGEC is used?
2. Does Communication require a second language?
3. What communication courses are recommended?
