5. Register for Classes

Scottsdale Community College offers 4 registration options to our students.

1) In Person/Walk-In Registration

All students may register in person at the Scottsdale Community College Admissions, Registration and Records Office.

Scottsdale Community College is located on the northeast corner of Pima and Chaparral Roads in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Admissions, Records and Registration Office is located at the southwest side of the campus.

Standard hours of operation for the Admissions, Records and Registration Office are:

Monday through Thursday: 8:00am-7:00pm

Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm (closed Fridays during the Summer)

The above hours of operation do not apply to federal holidays, Christmas/winter break or spring break. Special Saturday office hours may also be available. If you plan to register in person, please call 480-423-6100 to confirm our hours of operation.

2) By Telephone/Operator Assisted Registration (480) 423-6100

Registration by telephone with the assistance of an operator is available by calling 480-423-6100. A Student Information Form must be on file in the Admissions, Records and Registration Office prior to registering for credit classes over the telephone. To expedite the telephone registration process please know the four-digit section number of all classes for which you wish to register. All assessment, prerequisite and payment deadlines apply to telephone registrations. Please note the following telephone registration restrictions:

  1. You can not register for any class requiring an Advisor's signature, an Instructor's signature/permission or for any class that requires proof of completed prerequisites if the prerequisites have been taken at any school other than Scottsdale Community College. All special registration conditions are noted in the course listing section of the printed Class Schedule, and can also be found within the course description information of our on-line Class Schedule. To attain a course description on-line, simply click on the course prefix of our on-line class listings.
  2. You can not register by telephone for any Special Projects or Cooperative Education classes.
  3. You can not register for a class by telephone once the class has begun.

3) By Fax (480) 423-6200

Students who have confirmed the processing of their Student Information Form with the Admissions, Records and Registration Office may fax their registration for processing. Registration via fax is limited to six (6) credit hours and requires payment by credit card. Incomplete forms will not be processed. Completed forms will be processes within 72 hours of receipt (except holidays, Fridays and during late registration). A schedule/invoice will be mailed to you within 24 hours of processing. Submission of a faxed registration does not guarantee course placement. It is the student's responsibility to confirm registration and course placement via fax. Please note the following fax registration restrictions:

Tips for a Successful Registration

  • Read the course descriptions and be aware of any prerequisites or special conditions associated with each class you would like to enroll in.
  • Know the 4-digit section number of each class you wish to enroll in.
  • If you are a new student, confirm the receipt of your Student Information Form with the Admissions, Records and Registration Office prior to any registration activity.
  • Ensure that you have completed and fulfilled any testing requirements prior to any registration activity.

4) On-line

Students may now register for classes using the web.

*Limitations to On-line registration include classes requiring co-enrollment (labs) and pre-requisites.
