Financial Aid Disbursement

Financial Aid Disbursement Information

YOU MUST complete your 2011-2012 FAFSA and all follow-up paperwork requested by SCC's Financial Aid office by JUNE 1st to be a part of the below-mentioned disbursement schedule.

Late starting classes or other financial aid stipulations may force a delay in disbursing funds. You are responsible for paying tuition by the fee payment deadline so please plan accordingly.

For students who have been awarded:

Fall 2011

Prior to the start of classes:

Starting this fall, the Maricopa Community Colleges are offering students eligible for financial aid new choices regarding the purchase of books and supplies. A new process, which will replace the current book voucher program, will provide cash advances of financial aid awards to eligible financial aid recipients. The Maricopa Student Refund Program (MSRP) will be used to distribute these advances. Funds will be processed according to what students have selected as their preferred method of payment with Citi Financial Services: a prepaid debit card, direct deposit to a bank account of the student's choice, or a check. Advances will be distributed in August just before classes begin. Make sure you check you My.maricopa.edu Message Center for important information about how to access these funds.

Note: Your award must be sufficient to cover all tuition fees before using the balance for books.

After the start of classes.

  • Financial Aid disbursements will begin to post to individual student accounts on My.maricopa.edu
  • Excess Financial Aid refund will begin to be processed September 2nd – September 12, 2011
  • ALL refunds are processed using the Maricopa Student Refund Program (MSRP) NO EXCEPTIONS
  • If you are due to receive a refund and you have not received it by September 9, 2011, you may contact the Cashiers Office (480) 423-6148
