Concurrent Enrollment Program

The Concurrent Enrollment Program at Scottsdale Community College (SCC) provides high school students with an opportunity to take classes at SCC while attending high school.

Who is eligible to participate in the Concurrent Enrollment Program at SCC?
Any student is eligible to participate in the Concurrent Enrollment Program as long as the high school is in agreement.

Does the class that a student takes at SCC count for high school credit?
It is up to the high school to determine if credits taken at SCC will also count for high school credit. It is very important that students check with their high school counselor, prior to taking the class, to find out if they will receive credit at their high school for classes taken at SCC. Any 100 or above level class taken at SCC counts toward an associate degree at SCC.

How does a student start the process for the Concurrent Enrollment Program?
Following are the necessary Steps:

  1. Contact your high school counselor
  2. Determine class you will take
  3. Special Admissions Form must be fill out completely. Make sure that you read the forms after printing them and follow the instructions.
