Honors Achievement Award

- For enrolled SCC Students

  • Honors Achievement Award Scholarship Application for the 2011-2012 academic year are as follows: $81.00 if enrolled in 3-5 credits, $163.00 if enrolled in 6-8 credits, $244.00 if enrolled in 9-11 credits, and $325.00 if enrolled in 12 or more credits.
  • Applicants must have completed 12 credit hours (numbered 100-level or higher, letter grade) within the Maricopa Community Colleges, with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 (Exception: required, degree specific pass/fail courses).
  • Applicants must qualify for financial assistance under Arizona State law (legal citizens, or lawful immigration status).
  • Completion of at least three credit hours (numbered 100 level or higher), including at least one 3-credit Honors Course, or Honors Contract class with a grade of ‘C’ or better, is required in every term.
  • SUBMIT A TYPED ESSAY - As a characteristic of Scottsdale Community Honors, all Honors Program applicants are asked to attach a 700-1500 word essay (multi-paragraph composition, double-spaced, max. 12-pt font) stating your educational and professional goals. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

President's Scholarship Application

- For Recent High School Graduates

    • Student must have graduated from an NCA accredited high school within Maricopa County in the last 9 months.
    • Student must rank in the top 15% at the end of the sixth, seventh, or eighth HS semester OR if below the 15% rank, if home schooled, if below the 15% rank, if home schooled, or if attending a non-accredited school, must have qualifying placement test scores.
    • Student must qualify for financial assistance under Arizona State law (legal citizens, or lawful immigration status).
    • An official transcript (post-graduation) must be sent via USPS.
    • SUBMIT A TYPED ESSAY - As a characteristic of Scottsdale Community Honors, all Honors Program applicants are asked to attach a 700-1500 word essay (multi-paragraph composition, double-spaced, max. 12-pt font) stating your educational and professional goals. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
