To: CIS Students, Faculty and the College Community:
It is with the heaviest of heart that I share this message. Our dear friend and colleague, Peter Martin, passed away on September 8, 2016 after suffering a heart attack. Peter had been battling pancreatic cancer for the past three years. Through this difficult time, Peter always maintained his faith and had a very positive attitude.
Peter has been a residential faculty at SCC for 20 years. It has been my privilege to have worked with Peter for the last 15 years. Peter will be remembered as a phenomenal instructor, a beloved colleague, and a genuine and selfless friend. Our lives have been richly blessed for having him in them. We will sorely miss his company and his joyful spirit.
Peter so loved his work and his students at Scottsdale Community College. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.
