First AD Benjamin Rosenberg (Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Nine ½ Weeks, Mambo Kings, Black Rain, Prizzi's Honor)

Selected to the First Annual Sundance Independent Producer's Conference at Sundance, Utah, Yanni spring boarded that invaluable experience by making AZ history writing/directing/producing the concert film When Legends Meet that secured three world distribution deals featuring Latin superstars Secreto, the Godfather of Latin House, and the Latin Grammy Winning El Gran Combo. To secure the artists' rights from the record label, Yanni negotiated ìpen to penî with renown music entertainment attorney, William Krasilovsky (author of the famous This Business of Music).
His documentary Kassiani, on the remarkable first female hymnographer, will be a joint venture with three time Emmy Award Winning Producer/Director and elite Orthodox Church filmmaker Nick J. Furris.
Yanni's Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, inspired by the famous Helnwein painting, won the 2012 Phoenix Comicon Best Fan Film Screenplay.
A DreamWorks-Disney project selected him as one of five writers to pen a screenplay treatment adaptation from the best-selling novel by Jack Goddard, The Survivor.
An energetic, inspirational speaker on screenwriting, Yanni has given highly attended seminars for Hamilton and Basha Libraries, PFP/IFP, Phoenix Writers Club, and Phoenix Comicon.
In 2005, he conducted a free 12 Session Screenwriting Class for AZ Screenwriters Association using his instructional book Screenwriting Kept Simple that had about 30 regulars. Three years later, he held the same successful sessions for City of Phoenix Recreation Programs.
Yanni had the pleasure of working for his mentor at Hollywood Script Analysis from 1990 thru 1996, where he critiqued over one thousand scripts. The method he was taught evaluates the script three times: once for correct format, once for dialogue and exposition, and the final pass for story structure. After each evaluation, the writer makes the improvements and the critique advances to the next phase. A comprehensive process screenwriters find most worthy.
