Shaped by a group of building officials, city planners, and architects, SCC's Building Safety Technology Program aims to provide successful graduates with the skills required for job entry as support staff in a variety of positions including:

THE PROGRAM:
This innovative program offers the student several options to fit his or her individual needs. Associate of Applied Science Degrees and Certificate Programs are based on a common core of Building Code, Construction Methods, and other related classes. Students also have the option of selecting classes across the curriculum to satisfy specific personal or professional goals.
FACULTY:
The residential and adjunct faculty delivering SCC's Building Inspection Program classes are highly qualified professionals who bring real-world experience and real-world expectations to the classroom. Lessons learned from working in the industry, and, as importantly, lessons learned from years of helping our diverse student body meet their individual and collective goals, gives our faculty special insight and helps to form a relaxed, but professional relationship with our students.
