Junior ACE Program

THE SALT RIVER JUNIOR ACE PROGRAM

WHO CAN ATTEND…

  • Any 5th or 6th grade student from Salt River Elementary School or 7th or 8th grade student from Salt River High School may apply.
  • Any 5th or 6th grade student participating in the Step-Up Summer Program may apply.
  • Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student that has participated in the Junior ACE summer program may apply.
  • Any 7th and 8th grade students from the Salt River Community who attend school outside of the Community may apply.

Application packets will be available in early spring.

The Salt River Junior ACE Program

The Salt River Junior ACE Program is a collaborative effort between Scottsdale Community College and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Community Schools. The Salt River Junior ACE Program engages 5th through 8th grade students in a program that benefits them with college-related activities. A one-week and two-week summer session are offered at Scottsdale Community College. Participants and their families are also invited to a fall activity and a spring activity.

The summer program includes:

Pathway to College
  • 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Graders - Students attend the Salt River Junior ACE College Experience (summer program), an activity in the fall semester, and an activity in the spring semester.
  • 10th Graders - Fall Semester - Students apply to the ACE Program.
  • 11th & 12th Graders - Students attend classes at SCC through the ACE Program and receive academic support. Students who participate in the ACE Program may complete up to 24 college credits by taking 12 credits during their junior year and 12 credits during their senior year.
