Grant Gagnon is Scottsdale Community College’s Chief Technology Officer, having over twenty five years of Instructional and Administrative Technology experience in Higher Education. Grant has served several roles for Scottsdale Community College including Director of Information Technology, Interim Dean of Instructional Technology Services, and as an acting Chief Information Officer.
Over the past five years Grant has led a number of technology projects for the campus, including a complete Information Technology building and Data Center remodel. Under Grant’s technology direction, SCC has been awarded two “Grade A” national awards for Digital Community Colleges. One of Grant’s profiled projects has been the “mySCC” virtualization project known in the industry as the “Scottsdale Model.” Grant has shared his virtualization solution experience with dozens of educational institutions ranging from K - 12 charter schools to NASA’s Jet Propulsion Labs. Grant has represented Scottsdale Community College and the “mySCC” solution for multiple award nominations including Citrix Synergy’s - Top Ten Global Innovation of the Year award, and our 2010 Bellwether Award nomination under the Instructional Programs and Service Category.
Grant participates on several campus committees and has chaired and served on district-wide committees. Grant is active with national organization like the League for Innovation, EduCause, and is a graduate of the Chair Leadership Academy. He has also been selected to represent Higher Education on a number of customer advisory councils; including Citrix and NEC of America.
